This information is only used to fulfil your specific request. Your information is never shared or sold to any third party companies or organisations. All online bookings are made by redirecting you to our online booking system hosted by www.Queensboroughgroup.co.uk
The above company is responsible for making your booking and collecting payment details on our behalf. From the online Queensborough Group online vault, Exmoor Country House have access to your submitted information. These details are then destroyed after your stay and full payment has been received.
Exmoor Country House may set and access cookies on your ‘computer’ (meaning any computer, laptop, tablet, mobile, or other device that the website can be viewed on.) A ‘cookie’ is a small file of letters and numbers which asks permissions from your browser to be placed on your Computer’s hard drive. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual and allow us to distinguish you from other users on the website.
Cookies are not shared with any third-parties.
Google Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics is a website monitoring tool that allows users to see volumes of website visitors, their source, and to analyse how the content of their website is viewed and navigated. This in turn allows optimisation of the content and pages on our website and the marketing programmes that drive traffic to the website. Google Analytics does not store any personal information about website visitors, but does use persistent cookies to identify repeat visitors.
Distribution of Information
We may share information with Governmental Agencies, Police or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when:
(1) permitted or required by law; or,
(2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or,
(3) investigating fraud which has already taken place.
The information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes.

Terms and Conditions
A system generated ‘Booking Acknowledgement’ email will be sent immediately after an online booking is made from the Reservations page on this website. The reservation is held until we send a ‘Booking Confirmation’ email subject to a successful pre-authorisation. If a booking is made by telephone only a Booking Confirmation email will be sent following a successful pre-authorisation. Exmoor Country House (ECH) always pre-authorise and do not take payment in advance except for bookings made within the 3 day cancellation period.
The booker/guest must contact ECH in advance of using the PayPal link on this website.
If for any reason a refund is due ECH will refund via bank transfer within 7 working days of the refund becoming due. Bank details will be required from the booker/guest to facilitate this.
To avoid any cancellation charge we need to know of your intent to cancel by 10am 3 days in advance of your arrival date. Cancellation made after this day/time will incur a penalty cancellation charge of 100% of the entire booking.
Once you commence your stay it will not be possible to cancel or curtail the reservation without paying for your entire stay. For this reason we advise that you consider travel and/or curtailment insurance.
If a booker/guest makes a reservation within the 3 day Cancellation period ECH will charge the guest payment card the full cost for the stay which is not refundable subject to a 4 hour grace period in which the guest may cancel the reservation without penalty from the time ECH emails these Terms and Conditions to the email address offered at booking time by the booker/guest.
ECH reserve the right to cancel, not accept, or withdraw any reservation at any time prior to the scheduled guest arrival day. ECH will refund any monies paid for any reservation which is cancelled by ECH.
Immediate Curtailment refers to the guest being asked to immediately leave the property for any reason the owners deem necessary. A penalty of the total cost of the stay plus any damage/cleaning charge (if applicable) will be levied should Immediate Curtailment be invoked.
We reserve the right to charge the booker/guest for any missing room items or item damage howsoever caused up to a maximum charge of £300. Damage is defined as breakage/staining/soiling of any item, fixture or surface. Guests are asked to let us know immediately in the event of an accident or mishap.
Check-in time is between 4pm and 8pm. Guests who wish to arrive outside these times are asked to make the request in advance. Guests who have not arrived by 8pm may be marked as a no-show which will automatically cancel the entire booking and invoke the Cancellation Policy as a cancelled reservation within 3 days of the arival date.
Children aged 10 and above are very welcome.
Smoking is not permitted at any time anywhere in the House. Smoking in the grounds is permitted except between the hours of midnight and 7am. Please do not make a reservation if you or any member of your party is unwilling to adhere to the Smoking Policy. Not complying with the Smoking Policy will invoke Immediate Curtailment plus a £100 deep clean charge for room smoking if applicable in the opinion of the owners.
Dogs are not permitted anywhere in the House but may stay in our external dog house which needs to be resevered in advance….the cost per night is £10.
Guests are not permitted to bring their own drinks for consumption anywhere in the House except in their room. Guests are not permitted to bring into the House any hot food or or order hot food/takeaway for delivery to the House.
Settlement is on departure using credit/debit card or cash. Diners Card or payment by Cheque is no longer accepted
If a Booking is made through a third party agent they may have different terms and conditions to those found here. It is the bookers responsibility to check the agents terms and conditions. If a service or any other charge applies to your booking it will be clearly referred to on your Booking Confirmation email.
By making a reservation the booker/guest is deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions.
